This week Chad Flatt and Johnny Kayfabe examine the episodes of WWF Monday Night RAW and WCW Monday Nitro that originally aired on July 1, 1996. On RAW, the former Rockers, Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels, do battle in a great match that takes up almost half the broadcast! Mankind is also in action as he continues his quest to end The Undertaker once and for all. The seeds are planted for a feud between two eventual WWE Hall of Famers. Former WCW stars, Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) and Marc Mero (Johnny B. Badd) also do battle. Next week we learn more about the strained relationship between the WWF and The Ultimate Warrior as the man himself will be in action against Owen Hart. On Nitro, we have a rematch between The Steiner Brothers and Harlem Heat for the WCW World Tag Team Championships. We are promised that Glacier is coming soon....again. We see a matchup of two 1980s WWF legends as Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and "Macho Man" Randy Savage face off. The Four Horsemen again have a ringside celebration of their greatness including champagne, women, and a delicious feast. The main theme of the program however is the growing unrest amongst the WCW roster under the pressure of an invasion by "The Outsiders". With Bash at the Beach just six days away, the intruders promise that they along with their mystery partner will spell the demise of WCW as they make their presence felt by sitting front row ringside! Don't miss the craziness as the MondayNight War is in full swing on this week's episode of Monday Is War!
