Chad and Keila are once again on the case examining everything newsworthy from the past week in the crazy world of professional wrestling. Neither RAW nor Smackdown offered very much memorable content this week on the heels of the Smackdown brand's next PPV offering. Still some storylines were furthered and character development has taken its rightful place at the forefront of everything the creative team is doing. Samoa Joe continues to impress on RAW as he stands to gain more than just the IC title in his feud with Roman Reigns while Jinder Mahal came up short on Smackdown in his native land against a WWE icon as he continues to try to get back on track after his 6 month reign as WWE Champion ended last month. Possible heel turns abound as both Jason Jordan and perhaps even Daniel Bryan appear on the verge of crossing over to the dark side. Could another heel turn be in the works that will shake up the blue brand? Keila explains why you can't always believe what you see from WWE creative. Some serious topics were also discussed this week including the arrest of Rich Swann, Paige's admitted drug use and former WWE Diva, Shelly Martinez, and her serious allegations concerning the culture behind the scenes of WWE during her time with the company. Some more departures from Impact Wrestling made news this week as a couple important cogs in the wheel behind the scenes have parted ways with the company. A former Impact World Champion now is the holder of the "ten pounds of gold" as the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Could he be the man to propel the NWA brand back to prominence in 2018? Time will tell. The show closes with both of your hosts unable to hide their giddiness at the way the epic clash known as Alpha -vs- Omega is being built. A feud built on a personal issue and hometown pride has brought out a vicious streak in Chris Jericho. He has once again reinvented himself, retired his list and bathed in the blood of his rival. This is old school pro wrestling booking at its finest and it's proving that the formula still works in 2017. Sit back, relax, and drink it in mannnn as another delicious dish of southern fried rasslin' goodness comes your way on this edition of Pro Wrestling Weekly!
